New Wiki Paradigm - Contribute and take credit!
Each MedicineWiki topic has an authorship section at the end - a way for everyone to recognize your hard work.
Meritorious internet publications are considered scientific contributions - list them on your CV.
If you contributed to a topic, do not forget to put your name in the authorship box for that topic.
Important Notice on Referencing/Authorship
In order to streamline RNWiki/NPPAWiki content, the following contributor guidelines should be observed:
1. When working on an article, each prospective contributor must read the article first
2. The contributor must be familiar with the content being edited/posted
3. DO NOT USE THE STANDARD WIKIMEDIA FOOTNOTE FORMAT - THIS HAS BEEN DISABLED
4. When adding references, please ensure that the reference you are adding is not already included
5. Best way to ensure that a reference is not already included is to use your browser's FIND function
6. References are to be added as follows:
a. Body text -> New reference should be numbered consecutively to the last listed reference
b. Each reference should be listed in [square brackets] -> Examples: [1] [1-5] [1,15,43]
c. Reference list -> New reference comes after the last previously listed reference
7. References are numbered in the order they were added to the manuscript:
a. This is not the standard way of referencing (i.e., alphabetical or in order of appearance)
b. However, it will work perfectly as long as the reference in the text is accurately pointed
c. Example:
i. Even though reference [21] could be listed BEFORE reference [11] in the body text
ii. The same reference will be listed AFTER reference [11] in the references section
8. Contributors should add their name in ALPHABETICAL order to author list at the end of each article
9. Use as much text as possible -> Minimize figures to those absolutely necessary
